Your Friendly Neighborhood Wolf Posts: 320 Group: VIP Members Member #2 Joined: Apr 11, 2009	I barely read the manga to be honest (Red just seemed to get WAY to fucking lucky when it came to things, nearly dying SEVERAL TIMES. If I was him, I would have found a new hobby after nearly getting eaten by a horde of Victreebels, nearly getting blown up several times, getting punched out, burned alive, etc. The sequel manga weren't that much better because it was essentially the same shit. And I swear Yellow and Lance simply weren't human. As for the anime, Ash was the same way: TOO DAMN LUCKY! Still, the series had its merits. Though in my opinion, after Johto saga, the series turned to shit when 4kids decided to be idiots about the series and make it a little TOO kid friendly. That being said, the battle between Groudon and Kyogre was EPIC. 4kids then made the detrimental mistake of giving Pokemon to TAJ Productions who fucked the series over with new voice actors that frankly all suck epic amounts of ass. I can barely listen to them speak without wanting to throw up in my popcorn/potato chip mix bowl. Of course, 4kids made some major mistakes as well such as cutting out the "Legend of Dratini" episode leaving a gigantic hole in the series and completely failing to explain where the hell Ash got his shitload of Tauros.

Residential Browncoat and Whovian Posts: 70 Group: VIP Members Member #27 Joined: Jun 7, 2009	Oh yeah i read about the ton of Taurus. i remember watching that one movie they did with the new voice actors, the first movie with them. some sort of Mirage Pokemon or something...anyways, yeah the new guys could never do James and Meowth justice. and isnt it interesting how no matter how much time may pass, Those kids never seem to age? Yeah and because Japan is more lenient than us, there were some episodes that we never saw, like the one that gave kids Seizures (although thats a bit understandable), and the one with the guards always pointing guns at them, just to name the ones i can remember

Jynx a racial stereotype? cmon. didnt they recolor Jynx anyways? so couldnt they have just changed the colors of Jynx? and people need to relax. its a cartoon with cartoon monsters. relax.

Besides, Japanese companies are only concerned in making stereotypes of Americans in general just for the sake of humor, but I've never once seen a black stereotype in Japanese media.
