Forum Promotion: One of the many ways we get members =D

That's right, Lawlers. Our next contest is a posting competition, to see who can get the most posts in a set amount of time. We will run the contest from September 12th at Midnight EST (GMT -5), and end it at midnight EST on October 17th. AIO only counts posts in forums that give you credits, however. These forums are the only ones that do NOT count towards your total:

• Welcome to the Lawlz
  
• The Lawltastic Interrogation Room
  
• Forum Games
  
• Advertising (and all subforums)
  
• VIP (and all subforums)

Now, the prize...as always, we have first and second place prizes set up:

• First place: You will receive a $50 gift card from gifts.com. This card can be used to get a gift card from a variety of popular stores and various other businesses. For more information on the gift card, click here. For a list of merchants that the card can be used in, click here. On top of the card, you will be awarded a spot on the VIP Membership list on the Lawltastic Community, and awarded 50 Lawl-bucks to spend on our VIP services.
  
• Second place: You will be awarded a spot on the VIP Membership list, and awarded 25 Lawl-bucks to spend on our VIP services.

**NOTE** To win the giftcard, you must win with a total of over 100 posts, of a respectable quality. This is to avoid people winning with a low post-count or a ton of one-word posts. 100 decent posts in a month is reasonable in our opinion. If you fail to get 100 posts, you will still receive the VIP and Lawl-bucks.

Any section that AIO counts is fair game, as long as you don't violate the rules. Any violations of the rules will result in immediate disqualification, and potentially a ban for the duration of the contest. Also, staff members are not eligible to win the prize, so the highest non-staff poster will be declared the winner. I'm announcing this a week early so people can register and get accustomed to the forum before the contest begins. Remember, all times are in EST (or GMT -5). Happy posting!!

A couple of things I should address, in case there is any confusion.

First of all, this is not a total post-count competition. You can register during the timeframe and still win. AIO will keep track of posts starting on the 12th and I'll turn it off on October 17th. Someone could double your post count and still lose if they don't make more posts DURING the contest.

Second of all, tiebreakers. To handle these, I will use AIO's ability to count topics, quick replies, and full replies. If the total is tied, I will use the number of topics, then full replies, then quick replies. In the event that all three are perfectly tied, I will personally browse posts, and will give the prize to whoever posts in the "Display of Lawlz" the most.

Third and final point: the rules are subject to change until it officially starts. If we feel the need to change anything, we reserve the right to do so, but waive it as soon as the AIO competition mode is activated. We won't make any change that isn't deemed beneficial or necessary.

Hello Lawlerz, your ever-lovable goofball of an admin here, making a brand new contest. What kind of contest is this, you ask? Well, mis amigos, this is a video contest. The theme? Make a "commercial" for this site. Of course, there are some rules.

• The video must be at least 30 seconds long
  
• Any format is allowed (slideshow, spokesperson, etc.)
  
• The video must be entirely focused on the LC, and must NOT contain any false information
  
• The video must be uploaded to a video site, so it can be seen

Now, as for the process. I will ask that everyone post their video in this thread. On August 24th, I will choose five videos and make a poll. I will run voting until September 1st. On that day, the video with the most votes will be declared the winner. Also, I will choose the videos based on not only my opinion, but those of members in this thread. That said, be sure to comment on other entries, even if you don't enter.

Now, the prize. I will give prizes to the top two entrants.

• First place will receive 100 Lawl-bucks and SIX MONTHS of free VIP membership, and will have their video displayed in any location/site where I post videos from the site (meaning exposure for your channel/profile)
  
• Second place will receive 50 Lawl-bucks and 3 months of free VIP membership
